This is the review of the preview of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 10. It sounds little strange since the period of Microsoft’s excitement with their latest browser, which is Internet Explorer 9, should not be finished yet. Nevertheless, the company has done it quite often with its operating systems as well. We should remember that Windows Vista and Windows 7 have been recent development, which all of them came out to the open market with slight time gap; it seems that inventions and continuity are rushing under the company’s roof. Internet Explorer 10 is probably a little too soon for the current product has not reached the final version yet. However, the discussion of how the browser will look like is already crowding the ears. Probably, the deep review of the speed, performance, stability, and security will still to come in months.

Anyway, we have compiled some important facts that will be seen with Internet Explorer 10; Microsoft has even already released the platform preview slightly after Internet Explorer 9 was launched. The first important thing is that Internet Explorer 10 will not have backward compatibility. It is different from the considerably best competitors such as Chrome and Firefox that continue to be compatible with older operating systems. Internet Explorer 10 will not be available for Windows XP, which is still widely used now. Even Windows Vista, a rather new operating system does not support this web browser as well. Only Windows 7 or newer operating system will work with Internet Explorer 10. As many people consider, such omission of backward compatibility seems to be a push that users must upgrade the operating system; in other words, new browsers are only available for new system. Another good words to say it, buy new stuff to get new stuff.

Windows XP users may have some worries about the issue, but Vista users are likely to be able to still count on the Internet Explorer 9. The web browser is still new and updates are available; it means that new features, compatibility and supports will do the work without even having to purchase new operating system; the most important thing, HTML 5 is accessible. In many ways, older operating systems users have plenty of choices to use alternative browsers that are compatible with almost all OS, for example Firefox and Chrome. Indeed, Internet Explorer 10 seems very promising, but those competitors also offer plenty of great updates and features to make each browser capable of delivering almost anything provided in web pages.

Second, Internet Explorer 10 is indeed featuring much advancement such as CSS3 features and HTML5. Some important developments include 3D transform, multi-column as well as grid layout, transition, gradients and more. Another important fact to know is that Internet Explorer 10 does not support Flash; better or worse, the web browser will eliminate the needs of Silverlight and plug-ins as well, HTML5 will do the job.

The tendencies bring us to predict that Internet Explorer 10 will be coming along with Windows 8. At that time, Windows Vista will be too old enough to be considered as new generation. After all, it seems fair for any coming operating system to feature new pre-loaded web browser, so Internet Explorer 10 will likely to make good companion for Windows 8.
